Rulani Mokwena is closing in on a move to Egypt Premier League side Pyramids.

Mokwena just left the Libyan giants in Al-Ittihad after failing to guide the team to any form of silverware last season.

The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach has made a name for himself in North Africa while with MC Alger last season when he gave them a push to be eventual champions.

Mokwena left MC Alger in the middle of the season having made them kind of unbeatable leading up to their title push.

Now that he could not replicate that kind of form in Libya he has left the club with Pyramids seeking his services heavily.

It is understood that Mokwena and Pyramids have light elements to tie in his contract with a lot of major aspects of it being agreed on.

He is likely to be unveiled before the end of the week.
