Saudi clubs have long been targeting Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah. Jürgen Klopp managed to keep his star player at Anfield, and his successor, Arne Slot, is hoping for the same outcome.

Details: The Liverpool head coach stated that he is not surprised by the offer from Saudi Arabia and would, in fact, be more shocked if anyone claimed they didn’t want Salah. At the same time, the Dutchman remains confident that the Egyptian will stay at Anfield.

Quote:

“I would be surprised if anyone in the world said: ‘We don’t need Mo Salah.’ He has played at such a high level for so many years that probably everyone wants him. He’s done just fine without my advice for a long time, so he’ll likely continue making the best decisions for his career even without my input.

Everyone wants him, including us—we obviously want him to extend his contract. That’s clear. I’m not surprised that Saudi Arabia wants him, but I wouldn’t be surprised if other countries want him too. He’s old enough and wise enough, and he’s made so many smart decisions in his career that I’m sure he’ll make the right choice for himself—and hopefully for us,” said Slot.

Reminder: During the last winter transfer window, Saudi clubs were reportedly ready to break the transfer record to sign the Egyptian.
