Slot admits he hasn't maximized Nunez's potential yet

Darwin Nunez's goal-scoring record this season has been less than impressive, with only four goals in 26 matches for Liverpool. Head coach Arne Slot also admits that he has not yet found the best way to utilize the Uruguayan forward.

Details: The Dutch coach emphasized that he has not been able to extract the maximum potential from Nunez so far, but he attributes this to the deep defensive setups of the opponents Liverpool faces, which are not the ideal conditions for Nunez’s playing style.

Quote: "Darwin is a forward that we need to use in a certain way, and this season we haven’t been able to get the most out of him. In the Cup, you saw again that he has great pace. But unfortunately for him, most teams often sit back against us. If you remember the goals he’s scored for us, I recall one against Aston Villa where he bypassed the goalkeeper in a quick counterattack – that’s his main strength," said Slot.

Reminder: Earlier, the Dutchman stated that he would not enter the transfer market in January, emphasizing that he already has the players he needs.
