Sinethemba Badela has given the blue print of how Durban City ought to play under his guidance.

Badela was announced as the replacement for Gavin Hunt at the Kwa-Zulu Natal side last week.

The newly-appointed gaffer has found the PSL newbies in the top eight and his mandate is likely to ensure he maintains the club’s status in the Betway Premiership.

Badela’s arrival is after a botched stay at Chippa United, where he was only in charge of two games before being sacked.

“I want a team that dominates the game, both with and without the ball. More importantly, I want the players to express themselves, play with energy, and work extremely hard on the pitch,” he explained as per the club’s website.

Badela said he does not plan to restart what has been done at this club but he plans to amplify what has been done so far.

“The team has done very well so far. My focus is on continuing that progress and helping the players fully express their strengths on the pitch,” he added.

“We want people to enjoy coming to the stadium. We will give everything in every game and make Durban City an exciting team to watch.”

City’s first game under Badela will be against Polokwane City in two week’s time.
