Tomorrow, on August 16th, the new Premier League season will kick off with a match between Manchester United and Fulham at Old Trafford. However, a particularly significant event is set for August 17th: Ipswich Town will play their first Premier League match after a 22-year hiatus.
Ipswich's most famous fan and one of the club's investors is renowned British singer Ed Sheeran. In celebration of Ipswich's return to the Premier League, the league invited Sheeran to create a special video. In the video, Sheeran drives a tractor and sings a fan chant. The tractor symbolizes Ipswich's nickname, "The Tractor Boys."
In their first match, Ipswich will face a formidable opponent: Liverpool.
Last season, Ipswich secured promotion to the Premier League by finishing second in the Championship.
