Sensational name for the role of Southgate's likely successor in the England national team is known

The clouds are gathering over the future of England head coach Gareth Southgate, and not only because of the team's unsure game at the European Championship, but also because of the specialist's own statements. The FA is already ready for the likely departure of the coach and has identified his replacement.

The candidacy of Southgate's likely successor is called talkSPORT. And no, he is not from the list of those eminent coaches who were named earlier. It is the head coach of the England Under-21 team, Lee Carsley.

The 50-year-old is highly respected after he managed to lead the team to triumph at the youth Euros in 2023. In addition to him, former Chelsea coach Graham Potter and Newcastle manager Eddie Howe have also been named, with a bid on their own coaches.
