The French coach highlighted the commitment of his players, who are working with a sense of calm.

As the Democratic Republic of the Congo face Denmark in an international friendly on Wednesday 3 June, the Leopards’ manager, Sébastien Desabre, reviewed his team’s preparations. He spoke of the team spirit within his squad and expressed his confidence in how the first phase of the training camp for the World Cup to be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico has gone. Aware that the most important part is yet to come, Desabre nevertheless points out that his team is only at the start of their programme

“Everything is going well. The players are working hard and are very focused on their tasks. We’re in the first week of preparation and there are still a fortnight to go before our first World Cup match against Portugal. We’ll be building up our intensity gradually. Honestly, we’re having a completely normal training camp. The medical staff are in constant contact with FIFA and we’ve been following health protocols since the Covid period.”
