Georgina Rodriguez has stepped directly into the escalating dispute between Cristiano Ronaldo and Portugal head coach Jorge Jesus.

Details: According to screenshots published by The Touchline, Georgina shared an Instagram Story containing a direct message aimed at Jesus:

“I don't know how this man can carry the name of Christ (Jesus).”

The post immediately attracted attention because of the ongoing controversy surrounding Ronaldo and the Portugal coach.

Rodriguez also reposted a graphic in which harsh criticism of Jesus was attributed to legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson. The text questioned why Ronaldo had been called up if the coach allegedly had no intention of using him and described such behaviour as insecurity rather than authority. However, no original video, interview or official statement from Ferguson confirming that exact wording could be verified in primary public sources, so the quotation should be treated as an attribution contained in the reposted graphic.

The story did not remain online for long. Just minutes later, The Touchline reported that Georgina had deleted the post. Her message appeared amid Ronaldo's highly publicised disagreement with Jesus. Ronaldo left Portugal's training camp in Copenhagen ahead of the Nations League match against Denmark, while the Portuguese Football Federation confirmed his departure and the forward said he would explain his decision in due course.

It is worth noting that Ronaldo remains the record holder in men's international football for both goals and appearances. According to UEFA data updated at the end of September, the Portuguese star has scored 146 goals in 234 matches for his national team.
