Scandal! Manchester United leader tears into club chiefs after Atlético defeat

Lisandro Martínez has sparked a major controversy at Manchester United with an explosive attack on the club's leadership.

Details: Following Manchester United's 2-0 defeat to Atlético Madrid in the Champions League, the Argentine defender gave a furious interview to Amazon, openly criticizing the club's recruitment strategy and questioning the decisions made by those in charge.

Martínez did not hide his disappointment with the situation at Old Trafford, insisting that the club's management should have done much more to strengthen the squad following last season's success.

We had a fantastic season last season and now we expect more from the top,” the defender declared.

When asked whether Manchester United's current squad was good enough for the Champions League and whether he had expected greater investment during the summer transfer window, Martínez delivered a brutally honest response.

“Yes, 100%. I expected more from our technical director,” the Argentine admitted.

However, his most controversial comments came when discussing head coach Michael Carrick. Martínez defended the manager and made it clear that responsibility for the team's problems should not fall exclusively on the coaching staff and players.

“Carrick does his best. You can't keep changing, changing, changing the manager. What about other areas? I can't say more. It's easy to say the coach. It's easy to say the players, but we also have to see others,” Martínez insisted.

It's worth noting that Manchester United began their Champions League campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Sabah. However, the defeat in Madrid extended their winless run in all competitions to five consecutive matches.
