Manchester United's nightmare evening in Madrid has taken another dramatic turn.

Details: During the ongoing Champions League clash against Atlético Madrid, Manchester United defender Leny Yoro received a red card, leaving the English giants with just ten players on the pitch. At the time of the dismissal, Diego Simeone's side were leading 1-0, making the situation even more difficult for the visitors.

The match had already started disastrously for Manchester United. Atlético took the lead after just 53 seconds when Pablo Barrios found the net, immediately putting Michael Carrick's team under pressure.

The Spanish club nearly doubled their advantage shortly before halftime. Johnny Cardoso scored in the 44th minute, but the goal was eventually disallowed following a VAR review because of a handball by Marcos Llorente during the buildup.

Yoro's dismissal has now created another serious problem for Manchester United, who must attempt to turn the match around while playing with a numerical disadvantage. The encounter is still ongoing, with Atlético holding a 1-0 advantage at the time of the incident.

It's worth noting that Manchester United opened their Champions League campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Sabah, while Atlético suffered a 2-1 defeat against Liverpool in their first match of the league phase.
