Scandal at Chelsea! Club owner Todd Boehly named in new 'Epstein files'
Chelsea owner Todd Boehly has found himself at the center of a reputational scandal following the release of US Department of Justice archives detailing connections with Jeffrey Epstein.
Details: According to the documents, Boehly attended business meetings with the notorious financier twice in 2011. This happened three years after Epstein served his first sentence for sex crimes.
Correspondence confirms the meetings were strictly business-oriented, focusing on financial deals. At the time, Boehly was working at Guggenheim Partners, with developer David Mitchell acting as the intermediary in the negotiations. While there are no accusations against Boehly, the very fact of his contact with a convicted sex offender raises serious questions.
Representatives for Todd Boehly and the Chelsea board have officially declined to comment on the matter. Silence is also coming from Boehly's other clubs, the Lakers and Dodgers.
Reminder: AC Milan is close to hijacking Chelsea defender Axel Disasi from West Ham.
