Milan close to hijacking Axel Disasi from West Ham
Milan have entered the race for Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi, aiming to derail the almost finalised deal between the player and West Ham.
Details: According to insider Nicolò Schira, Milan are looking to leverage their strong partnership with the London club’s management to tip the scales in their favour and lure the French defender Axel Disasi to San Siro.
The situation is highly dramatic, as just on Wednesday Disasi had fully agreed personal terms with West Ham. It seemed the move to the Hammers was a matter of time, but Milan’s intervention has thrown everything into question. At the moment, the Blues and the Rossoneri are engaged in direct negotiations, searching for a deal structure that would satisfy both parties and allow Milan to outpace their Premier League rivals.
Everything now depends on whether the clubs can reach an agreement on the transfer terms in the coming days and if Disasi himself is willing to reconsider and make the switch to Serie A.
It’s worth noting that this season the French defender hasn’t played a single match for the Londoners. Transfermarkt values him at €15 million.
Reminder: Former West Ham player Jesse Lingard could join Wrexham.
