Lingard’s experience and skill would undoubtedly be a valuable addition to the Championship side.
Details: According to TalkSport, 33-year-old English attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard could well become a Wrexham player.
It is reported that former Aston Villa and Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke has advised Lingard to consider a move to Wrexham, as a way to rediscover his top form and help the club in their fight for Premier League promotion.
At this stage, there has been no contact between Wrexham and Lingard, but if the player signals his interest in the transfer, things could change at any moment—especially given that Jesse is currently a free agent.
"If he joined Wrexham, it wouldn’t be a surprise either. Maybe he feels the time has come to return home, be closer to his daughter, and help Wrexham reach the Premier League," said Yorke.
Lingard’s last club was South Korean side FC Seoul, which he left earlier this year. Since then, the midfielder has remained a free agent.
As for Wrexham, the team currently sits sixth in the English Championship, battling for promotion to the Premier League.
