Rulani Mokwena is not coming to South Africa for a holiday ahead of his MC Alger's Caf Champions League tie against Mamelodi Sundowns
Rulani Mokwena will be in South Africa this weekend and he may not even see his family.
Infact, Mokwena is not interested in seeing his family or see the beauty South Africa has to offer when he touches down at OR Tambo with his MC Alger squad.
They have one mission. And that mission to eliminate Mamelodi Sundowns’ chances of making it to the knockout stages of the Caf Champions League.
The Chloorkop-based side are third on the Group D standings with six points while MC Alger are second with seven.
Leaders Al Hilal are on top with eight and DRC side complete the group with five points.
This puts this group as an intricate one to manoeuvre and the 1-1 draw Sundowns earned in Lubumbashi set them backwards in their pursuits for a knockout place in this continental competition.
“This is not about taking my players to visit friends and family or go on safari,” Mokwena said ahead of the game this weekend.
The monumental clash at Loftus Versveld is set for 3pm.
