Rulani Mokwena: I am proud of my MC Alger team and congratulations to my players for winning a very difficult game

Rulani Mokwena sounded a pleased man after his MC Alger’s beat USM Khenchela 2-1 in the Coupe d’ Algerie to remain unbeaten in all competitions in North Africa.

Mokwena said his side deserved the victory in the cup competition to earn their place in the last 16.

This win continues to cement Mokwean’s prowess as a coach as his side are also atop of the Algerian Ligue 1 standings.

“First, congratulations to the boys. I think we all deserved the victory and we achieved a couple of objectives,” Mokwena told the media after the match.

“Because in a cup game the most important is to qualify for the next round and then try to give minutes to a lot of players.

“Our responsibility is to win and when you winning you carry everybody with you it’s very important.

“So, I’m proud of the performance of the group and congratulations to the entire team for winning a very, very difficult game.”
