On Friday, May 31st, the final match of the Saudi King's Cup took place. The coveted trophies were contested by the teams Al-Hilal and Al Nassr.

As early as the seventh minute, Al-Hilal surged ahead. Alexander Mitrovic, receiving from Malcolm, inaugurated the scoring in this encounter. Overall, the first half witnessed a rather evenly contested game.

After the interval, the situation remained largely unchanged. Both teams engaged in cautious football, wary of committing errors. On the 56th minute, a rather unpleasant incident occurred for Al Nassr - David Ospina received a red card. However, in the dying moments, Al-Hilal responded in kind - Al-Buleahi was prematurely sent off due to a red card.

Al Nassr capitalized on this and in the 88th minute, Ayman Yahya leveled the score, salvaging his team. The match proceeded into extra time, yet before that, Al-Hilal's defender, Koulibaly, received a second yellow card and was also dismissed.

Al Nassr performed better in extra time, yet they could not accomplish the most crucial task - scoring the winning goal. Once again, a stalemate ensued, leading to a penalty shootout.

In the penalty shootout, Al-Hilal's players proved more precise. The team triumphs, clinching the Saudi King's Cup and achieving the golden double.
