Rodgers all but confirms Tierney’s move to Celtic

Arsenal defender Kieran Tierney is edging closer to a return to Celtic due to a lack of playing time. While previous reports came from the media, this time, confirmation has come directly from the Scottish club.

Details: Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that the club has an agreement with Tierney for a free transfer this summer. However, he admitted he would welcome the move happening as early as this winter.

Quote: “We have agreed that it will definitely happen in the summer, but if we can make it happen earlier, then great. I don’t know if he will be able to sign this month. We have prepared for this to happen in the summer. I don’t want to talk too much about it because he is not a Celtic player right now. If we can do it this month, of course, we’d like to. But it’s not in our hands,” Rodgers said.
