RIP. Tragedy in Luis Enrique's family
Terrible news has emerged from Spain involving the family of Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique.
Details: According to EFE, on Thursday evening, October 8, a fatal traffic accident occurred near Oliva, in Spain's Valencia province. A car carrying Sira Martínez, the daughter of Luis Enrique, collided with a motorcycle, killing its 20-year-old rider.
The accident happened at approximately 8 p.m. on the N-332 road between Oliva and Dénia. Emergency medical teams rushed to the scene, but the motorcyclist had already died by the time they arrived.
The vehicle was driven by a well-known 41-year-old British equestrian, while Sira Martínez was travelling as a passenger. Both occupants of the car escaped the collision without injuries.
Investigators confirmed that the driver tested negative for alcohol and drugs. However, according to Europa Press, he is being investigated on suspicion of negligent homicide following reports of a possible illegal driving manoeuvre. The exact circumstances of the tragedy remain under investigation.
It is worth noting that Sira Martínez is herself a professional equestrian, while her father Luis Enrique has been in charge of Paris Saint-Germain since 2023.
