No injury, but no game! PSG give Dembélé another unexpected break
Ousmane Dembélé is set to miss another Paris Saint-Germain match, but this time there is no injury to blame.
Details: According to the latest information, PSG have granted the French winger an additional period of rest, meaning he will not feature in Saturday's Ligue 1 encounter against Le Mans on October 10. The match will take place at the Parc des Princes. Importantly, the report explicitly states that Dembélé is not injured, with his absence attributed solely to extra time off.
Interestingly, this is already the second time during the 2026/27 campaign that the Parisian club have reportedly granted their star attacker additional rest instead of including him in the matchday squad.
The first such episode occurred on August 28, when Dembélé missed PSG's away fixture against Lille after receiving six days off. That Ligue 1 encounter ended in a 2-2 draw. Now, less than two months later, the winger is expected to sit out another league match under similar circumstances.
The latest absence is therefore being described as a planned rest period rather than an injury-related setback. It is worth noting that PSG face Manchester City away in the Champions League on October 14, just four days after their home encounter with Le Mans.
Reminder: Unexpected. Guardiola returns to Man City
