RIP. Bundesliga player's wife passes away at 32 after childbirth

Details: According to The Sun, the 32-year-old wife of former Nuremberg player Markus Mendler, 33, Tamara Mendler, passed away just days after giving birth.
32-year-old Tamara Mendler was also a footballer, playing for the Saarbrücken club.
Just a few days ago, Tamara gave birth to a perfectly healthy baby and there seemed to be no cause for concern. However, today it has been reported that she passed away after a severe but brief illness.
Currently, her husband Markus is playing for the Regionalliga (4th Bundesliga) club Homburg, which announced the tragic news:
"With deep shock and sadness, we have learned about the death of our player Markus Mendler's wife.
Tamara Mendler passed away far too soon on Saturday evening after a short but serious illness." the club's statement reads.
Markus Mendler is a product of the German club Nuremberg and played for the first team from 2011 to 2014. He made 19 appearances for Nuremberg but did not contribute any goals or assists.
