Ricardo Goss defends Hugo Broos' tactics ahead of the clash against Czechia after the Mexico loss
Ricardo Goss has described the critics aimed at Bafana Bafana coach as ‘unrealistic’ after the coach was at the receiving end of criticism for the 2-0 loss against Mexico.
Goss, who is Bafana's second choice goalminder, said the Belgian coach has done well for South Africa and deserve not to be single out for the loss to the World Cup co-hosts.
It's just unfortunate that we aren't realistic enough as South Africa. I'm not saying we shouldn't go try and win games but I think it's unfair on the coach. If you look at his hips stay with the national team I think that has been phenomenal, and its something we haven't had for a while," said Goss.
Goss also highlighted that the coach was not pleased with them after the 2-0 defeat but he also alluded to the fact that he will warm up to them like he always does.
"We know that he will come at us, but we know that after the session he'll go back to being our father and make jokes with us. We still love him and we're going to play for him," added Goss.
Bafana face Czechia this Thursday in what is expected to be a fierce game in Group A as the Czechs also lost their first game against South Korea.
