The Football Association of England is launching a new four-year strategy called “A Game Free From Discrimination.”
Details: According to Topskills Sports UK, the document sets strict benchmarks for the representation of various groups within the management structure and coaching staffs of national teams by 2028.
The main goal of this reform is to ensure that the leadership of English football finally mirrors the ethnic and gender diversity we see on the pitch.
Reports say that in men’s national teams at all levels, at least 25% of specialists must be of Asian, Black, or mixed heritage. The bar is set even higher for the women’s national team, where an unprecedented 50% ethnic diversity target has been established.
The changes will also affect the highest levels of authority. By 2028, the FA’s board of directors and senior management must be made up of 50% women, with ethnic minorities accounting for 15% of leadership roles. Additionally, the organization aims to achieve full gender parity across all administrative positions, ensuring an equal number of male and female employees.
Reminder: If Liverpool win today against Tottenham, Igor Tudor could be sacked.
