Real Madrid's key defender Mendy to miss the game against Villarreal

Yesterday, Real Madrid knocked Atletico Madrid out of the Champions League in a penalty shootout at the round of 16, but they lost one of their key players in the process.

Details: During the match, Real's main left-back Ferland Mendy suffered a hamstring injury.

The French footballer will need several weeks to recover. He will definitely miss the upcoming La Liga match against Villarreal, as well as France's national team games.

However, Mendy is expected to return to the field after the international break.

Reminder: Today, UEFA provided an official explanation for the decision to disallow Julian Alvarez's penalty goal.
