21-year-old Real Madrid centre-back Dean Huijsen could find himself left out of Spain’s World Cup squad.

Details: According to AS Diario, the young defender Dean Huijsen has not convinced La Roja’s head coach Luis de la Fuente that he deserves a call-up for the World Cup.

Only Aymeric Laporte and Pau Cubarsí remain untouchable in the heart of defence, while the battle for the other two squad spots is raging between several players: Pubill, Jon Martin, Mosquera, Le Normand, Eric Garcia, Vivian, and Dean Huijsen himself.

This season, the 21-year-old defender has played 38 matches for Real Madrid in all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists.
