Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will soon sign a new contract with the club.

According to Relevo, negotiations between the parties started just a few weeks ago, but it is already evident that they will reach an agreement in the near future.

Lunin's current contract with the La Liga leaders runs until the summer of 2025.

Real Madrid believes that Lunin will continue to progress. The club considers the 25-year-old Ukrainian to have the potential to become one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

As a reminder, Real Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has missed the entire current season due to two injuries. First, he was absent due to a torn ACL, and during his recovery, he suffered a meniscus tear.

In Courtois's absence, initially, Kepa Arrizabalaga, loaned from Chelsea, was the main goalkeeper, but later, Lunin won the competition against him. Lunin has played 23 matches in all competitions, conceding 19 goals and keeping 10 clean sheets.
