Real Madrid are interested in RB Leipzig defender Castello Lukeba
Real Madrid continues its search for a new central defender and has identified another candidate. During the UEFA Champions League match between their city rivals Atlético Madrid and RB Leipzig, Castello Lukeba, the defender of the German team, caught the attention of Los Blancos.

Details: This summer, Real Madrid attempted to sign Lille’s defender Leny Yoro, but the young Frenchman opted for Manchester United, reportedly due to a more lucrative salary offer at Old Trafford.
Left without a new center-back, Real Madrid has continued its search. Previously, the Spanish champions were linked with Jarek Gasirowski from Valencia and Vitor Reis from Palmeiras.
However, according to Marca, Castello Lukeba has now joined the shortlist. The 21-year-old Frenchman is in his second season with RB Leipzig and has secured a place in the starting lineup. Last season, he made 41 appearances for the German club, scoring one goal.
According to Transfermarkt, Lukeba’s contract is valued at €40 million and is set to run until 2028.
Reminder: Real Madrid is unlikely to rush into signing a defender, with a deal more probable next summer.
Currently, Carlo Ancelotti can rely on Éder Militão, Antonio Rüdiger, and David Alaba in central defense, although the Austrian is still recovering from an injury sustained late last year.
