Despite his age, Luka Modrić has managed to remain at Real Madrid, extending his contract for the current season. His value to the team is highly regarded, with Carlo Ancelotti referring to the Croatian midfielder as a "guarantee."

Details: In recent times, Modrić has been receiving fewer full 90-minute appearances on the field. However, this has changed in the last few matches due to injuries to Brahim Diaz, Eduardo Camavinga, and Dani Ceballos, which forced Los Blancos' head coach Carlo Ancelotti to rely on the veteran.

In the last two La Liga games against Real Sociedad and Espanyol, Modrić played the full 90 minutes. While he didn’t contribute directly to any goals, Ancelotti praised the Croatian for his consistent performance.

Quote: "Luka Modrić always plays at his maximum level, he’s a guarantee for me.

Every player improves when they play a lot of minutes. Luka is always perfect, whether he starts or comes off the bench," Carlo Ancelotti’s words were quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Reminder: Luka Modrić has been playing for Real Madrid since 2012, amassing 543 appearances in the Los Blancos shirt across all competitions.

In recent years, Real Madrid has followed a transfer policy of offering players over 30 only one-year contract extensions. Despite Modrić recently turning 39, he continues to be an essential part of the Madrid club.

This season, Modric has appeared on the field in all matches, but only twice in the starting lineup. He has one assist in the UEFA Champions League match against Stuttgart.
