RB Leipzig has announced the extension of the contract with their defender
RB Leipzig has officially announced the extension of the contract with their defender Lukas Klostermann. The new agreement for the 27-year-old center-back is now valid until June 2028.
Klostermann has been representing the team from Leipzig since 2014, following his transfer from Bochum. The defender came to the Bulls at a modest fee of one million euros.
In total, the German defender has played 278 matches for his current team, scoring 14 goals. In the current season, he has participated in 21 matches across all competitions and scored one goal.
Recently, Leipzig loaned forward Timo Werner to Tottenham until the end of the season.
The Bulls currently hold the fourth position in the Bundesliga standings. On January 13, the team will face Eintracht Frankfurt.
