Arsenal is looking to sign Wolverhampton goalkeeper Dan Bentley, reports journalist David Ornstein.

According to the source, the Gunners have contacted Wolves to express their interest in signing the 30-year-old goalkeeper, whom Arsenal has identified as a backup option.

The Gunners have focused on Bentley due to his background as an Arsenal academy product and his excellent character. However, Wolverhampton intends to sell the goalkeeper only if they receive a suitable offer to recoup their investment in the player.

It is worth noting that in early July, Arsenal activated the buyout clause for Spanish national team goalkeeper David Raya.

Currently, Aaron Ramsdale is Mikel Arteta's second-choice goalkeeper.
