Pyramids FC Faces Setbacks Ahead of Crucial CAF Match
Pyramids FC has revealed a new injury blow just days before their important match against Esperance in the CAF Champions League, set for Saturday at the “Hamada Karbi” Stadium in Tunisia. The team currently leads Group D with 4 points, ahead of Esperance on goal difference.
The Egyptian side is already struggling with several key absences, including Burkina Faso’s Blati Touré and Mohamed Reda “Bobo” due to muscular injuries, along with a few other players sidelined by severe colds.
In a further setback, Pyramids confirmed that midfielder Ahmed Fathi suffered a nasal fracture after a clash with a player from Mali’s Djoliba during their previous match. Fathi had scans and medical examinations when the squad arrived in Tunisia, which verified the fracture. For the next match, he will now have to wear a protective mask.
The team’s injury woes add extra pressure ahead of a crucial encounter as they aim to secure their position at the top of the group.
