PSG with Mbappé’s brace overcame Real Sociedad and marches on in the UEFA Champions League

PSG visited Real Sociedad for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.

Having secured a convincing 2-0 victory in Paris, Luis Enrique's team could feel confident and comfortable in this match.

The Parisians clinched victory in the return leg with ease. In the first half, Kylian Mbappé dismantled the opponent's defense and beat the hosts' goalkeeper with a beautiful strike.

In the second 45 minutes, PSG played in a more conservative manner, but that didn't stop the magnificent Mbappé from completing his brace and securing his team's ticket to the next round. In the first instance, he was assisted by Usman Dembélé, and in the second, by Lee Kang-In. Mikel Merino's consolation goal in the final minute couldn't alter the outcome.

These goals marked the 45th and 46th for the stellar French forward in the UEFA Champions League, surpassing both Mohamed Salah and Didier Drogba in terms of goal tally in the prestigious club tournament. Additionally, Mbappé equaled the legendary Filippo Inzaghi of AC Milan.
