PSG Punished with Partial Stadium Closure for Homophobic Chanting by Fans
Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has been sanctioned for homophobic chanting by fans during their match against Strasbourg, which ended 4-2 on October 19.
Details: The Disciplinary Committee of the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP) imposed penalties on PSG in the form of a partial closure of the stands following reports of homophobic chants from fans during the match against Strasbourg.
During the home game, PSG supporters shouted offensive homophobic slogans directed at Marseille players, as well as towards their former player, midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who joined the Provence club in September.
As a result of the fans' behavior, the Parisian club will be forced to play their upcoming Ligue 1 match against Toulouse with partially closed stands.
Reminder: It was previously reported that Kylian Mbappé won a lawsuit against PSG, and the club is obligated to pay him a substantial sum.
