PSG provides update on Donnarumma after gruesome injury
PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma suffered a horrific injury during the match against Monaco. The Parisian club has released details about his condition.
Details: According to PSG’s official website, Donnarumma has returned to Paris and is scheduled to undergo all necessary medical examinations on Thursday, December 19. For now, he will not participate in team training.
Following the match, a photo was shared showing several stitches applied to the Italian goalkeeper’s facial wound.
PSG head coach Luis Enrique commented on the incident, noting that the Monaco player responsible for the injury, Wilfried Singo, had already been booked and could have received a red card. However, the referee opted not to penalize Singo further. Enrique remarked on the difficulty of such situations.
Quote: “There’s nothing I can do. These situations are always complicated. Players don’t intend to cause harm, but officiating at this level is truly challenging,” said the Spaniard.
Reminder: PSG head coach Luis Enrique has reportedly excluded Kolo Muani from his plans. The club is open to offers for both a loan or a permanent transfer for the former Eintracht Frankfurt forward.
