PSG make official bid to Bournemouth for Zabarnyi as they look to bolster their defense
Bournemouth had a fantastic Premier League season, thanks in large part to the performances of their two central defenders—Dion Hysen and Illia Zabarnyi. The former has already been snapped up by Real Madrid, and now it looks like the latter is headed to Paris.
Details: According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, reigning UEFA Champions League winners PSG have submitted an official offer to Bournemouth for Ukrainian defender Illia Zabarnyi. The center-back himself is eager to join PSG, and now everything hinges on the agreement between the two clubs.
The Parisians are keen to finalize the deal as quickly as possible so that Zabarnyi can feature for the team at the Club World Cup.
A few days ago, PSG claimed their first-ever UEFA Champions League title in history, demolishing Inter 5-0.
Reminder: Since the inception of the Champions League in 1955, no team has ever won a final by a five-goal margin. It's also worth noting that no other European club final has ever seen such a lopsided scoreline.
