In the summer of 2025, Gianluigi Donnarumma left PSG for Manchester City, but the move unfolded amid controversy, and the goalkeeper has now addressed the issue directly.

Details: Speaking to Sky Sports Italy, Donnarumma said that PSG let him down, explaining that he had settled in and fully adapted, but the final months were nothing like the earlier ones, and that left him deeply disappointed.

Quote: “To be honest, I felt let down by PSG because I had adapted, I was fully committed. But the last few months were completely different. That disappointed me.

I will never be able to explain it, but you have to accept it. I was frustrated with how they handled the situation. It’s unfortunate, but you have to move forward,” the goalkeeper said.

Even so, Donnarumma remains grateful to PSG and the club’s supporters. He will return to Paris, but the sense of disappointment still lingers.

Reminder: Legal proceedings have begun between 26-year-old Frenchman Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain over compensation claims filed by both sides.
