Each side believes they are entitled to a hefty compensation.

Details: According to the reputable source L'Équipe, legal proceedings have begun between 26-year-old Frenchman Kylian Mbappé and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) regarding compensation claims the parties are making against each other.

Reports indicate that PSG is seeking €180 million in compensation from Mbappé, alleging the forward broke his promise and left the club on a free transfer, depriving PSG of a lucrative deal. In response, Kylian has filed a lawsuit against PSG, demanding that his employment contract be reclassified and seeking €240 million in damages for psychological harassment he claims to have suffered after leaving the club.

The battle of the lawyers has already kicked off, with both parties presenting their arguments in court this morning.

The hearing and the judges' verdict are expected on December 16.

Mbappé joined PSG from Monaco in 2018 for a staggering €180 million. During his time in Paris, he played 308 matches, scoring 256 goals and providing 110 assists. In the summer of 2024, Mbappé refused to sign a new deal with PSG and joined Real Madrid as a free agent, leaving PSG empty-handed.
