England have booked their place in the semi-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and ahead of the next match, Three Lions head coach Thomas Tuchel has provided an update on one of his key players.

Details: According to Tuchel, midfielder Declan Rice had been ill and spent the three days leading up to the quarter-final against Norway recovering. Although he started the match, he was unable to complete the full 90 minutes and was substituted before the end of normal time.

England defeated Norway 2-1 after extra time in the quarter-finals of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Jude Bellingham scored both goals for the Three Lions.

As previously reported, Thomas Tuchel is expected to once again entrust Rice with leading England's midfield, where the Arsenal star is set to partner Elliot Anderson.

Reminder: FIFA has officially appointed the referee for the World Cup semi-final between England and Argentina.
