The entire boxing world is abuzz this morning, discussing the arrest of heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk at Krakow airport yesterday. Polish promoter Andrzej Wasilewski has also weighed in on the incident.

Details: Wasilewski expressed outrage at the actions of the Polish authorities, calling the arrest of Usyk a disgrace.

"A great champion, the undisputed heavyweight boxing world champion Oleksandr Usyk, is of course now free.

I would like to know who and why ordered him to be handcuffed, even for that short period, like a common criminal at Balice airport. A terrible disgrace for the whole world."

Reminder: Usyk was held in custody for less than an hour and released after the situation was clarified, which the boxer confirmed on his Instagram page.

In May this year, Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk defeated Tyson Fury in a fight for the undisputed heavyweight title. A rematch between the two is scheduled for December 21, with both fighters beginning intensive preparations.
