Ukrainian heavyweight boxer Oleksandr Usyk has been released from custody.
Details: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy said on his Telegram page that Usyk is no longer being held by anyone.
Quote: ‘Talked on the phone with Oleksandr Usyk when he was detained. Just now I was informed that all is well, our champion was released and no one is no longer detaining him,’ - wrote the President.
Recall: Oleksandr Usyk was detained this evening at the airport of Krakow. The Polish press, referring to the speaker of the airport, reported that the world champion in heavyweight was not allowed on board the aircraft, after which he was detained by the security services of the airport and border guards. The reasons are unknown at the moment.
Earlier, the wife of Oleksandr Usyk in the stories of his page on Instagram wrote that the boxer is fine and later he himself will tell about the reasons for the incident.
