South Africa started their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on a positive footing after registering a 2-1 win over Guinea.
It was a day of defenders not to stop but to score goals for the home side at Orlando Amstel Arena with Ime Okon and Samukele Kabini scoring for Bafana.
Okon netted in the first half while Kabini score in the second stanza much to the delight of coach Pitso Mosimane, who officially started his second sting as Bafana coach today.
The victory means they top their qualifying group after coach could only play to a 1-1 draw against Eritrea at home.
Bafana will next face Eritrea where they will be hoping to continue where they left off against Guinea.
