Pep Guardiola joins fellow football legends for a round of golf at the Legends Trophy tournament
Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola invited friends and football legends to take part in another edition of the Legends Trophy tournament, organized by his foundation. The Spaniard shared photos from the event on his Instagram page.
Guardiola is a huge golf enthusiast, which is why he became the driving force behind this regular golf event that brings together football legends, many of whom are his close friends.
This year’s Legends Trophy featured participation from some of the game’s all-time greats, including former football stars Andriy Shevchenko, Michel Platini, and Gianfranco Zola, among others.
Guardiola also took to the course, swinging his club and enjoying the matches, while catching up with old acquaintances throughout the event.
It’s worth mentioning that the past season has been Guardiola’s most challenging to date. His City side failed to claim any silverware and finished third in the Premier League. However, the Citizens still have a shot at a trophy, with the Club World Cup on the horizon.
