Current Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has responded to questions about whether he might return to Barcelona.

Guardiola said in an interview with COPE that the door to the Catalan team is closed, meaning that we should not expect him to return to Barcelona.

To recall, at the end of May 2008, Guardiola replaced Frank Rijkaard as the head coach of Barcelona. In the 2008/09 season, Guardiola achieved a unique result for Spain by winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey, and the Champions League in a single campaign. Overall, during his career at Barcelona, Guardiola won two Champions League titles, three La Liga titles, two UEFA Super Cups, and two Club World Cups.

By the way, Pep Guardiola recently hinted that the upcoming season might be his last at Manchester City, but no final decision has been made yet. Because of this, the City management is asking the Spanish specialist to decide on his future by the end of the year.

It is also worth noting that recent reports indicated Manchester City's management has started looking for potential replacements for Guardiola. There are four candidates being considered for the position of head coach.
