Orlando Pirates interested in signing Sekhukune United goalkeeper Renaldo Leaner

Renaldo Leaner may be in the Orlando Pirates colours next season.

The Sekhukhune United goal-minder is reportedly on the wanted list of the Sea Robbers.

Leaner has been impressive for Babina Noko that even Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos took note and has called him to the national side.

But the young goalminder failed to grab his international call up with both hands as he was guilty of conceding soft goals when Bafana lost 2-0 to Panama in March.

On top of that, Leaner also lost his place in Sekhukhune United's starting line up as Toaster Ntsabatha has been a preferred goalkeeper.

This has not dampened Pirates' pursuit for Leaner.

Pirates have Sipho Chaine and Melusi Buthelezi in their goalkeeping department and Leaner is seen as a direct replacement for Buthelezi who has not managed to make the grade at Pirates.
