Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana midfielder Tshepang Moremi credits Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng for his meteoric rise at Pirates
Patrick Maswanganyi and Relebohile Mofokeng have ensured Tshepang Moremi settles with ease at Orlando Pirates.
The duo of Maswanganyi and Mofokeng have done wonders for Moremi as the former AmaZulu midfielder been a revelation for the Sea Robbers.
Moremi joined Abdeslam Ouaddou’s troops in the off-season from AmaZulu after a stellar season in Durban.
“And also, here there are guys I found who I grew up with. They also helped me settle in by showing me the ropes and helping me understand the culture of the team. Someone I grew up with is Rele and also Tito. You remember that incident that happened, Tito was the one who calmed me down and helped me relax,” Moremi said.
“When we got here, we were nine players, so we didn’t have pressure everything was good and easy.”
This evening Moremi and his Pirates team-mates are in Durban for a Betway Premiership match against Usuthu and it’s a game in which can see them extend their points tally.
Pirates are on 32 points in the second spot of the PSL standings with only an inferior goal difference separating them from table-toppers and defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
A win for them may see them jump to the top with 35 but Arthur Zwane’s high-riding side stand on their way.
The match starts this evening at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium with kick-off set for 7.3pm.
