Barcelona's Polish striker Robert Lewandowski made a statement in his very first start for the Catalans in over a month. At the beginning of this campaign, the forward has been struggling with injuries and is still searching for his best form.
Coming straight into the starting eleven, Lewandowski fired a hat-trick against Celta. He struck twice before the break and netted his third in the 73rd minute, sealing a 4-2 victory for Barcelona. The Pole also became the fourth-oldest player to score three goals in a single La Liga match.
This hat-trick was Lewandowski's first in 13 months—since October 2024. So far this season, the 37-year-old striker has scored 7 goals in 12 matches. Thanks to the win over Celta, Barcelona have closed the gap to league leaders Real Madrid to just three points.
