Arsenal played their away UEFA Champions League semi-final clash, and the Gunners’ striker managed to extend a remarkable streak.
Details: Late in the first half, Viktor Gyökeres converted a penalty against Atlético Madrid and, according to Opta, he has now been flawless from the spot for two years. He has scored each of his last 27 penalties, a run stretching back to March 2024.
We previously reported that the draw in Madrid allowed Arsenal to match their longest unbeaten run in the history of the European Cup/Champions League. The Gunners are now on a streak of 13 consecutive matches without defeat.
