Earlier, we reported that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis held a meeting with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and his agent in Germany. According to club statements, positive steps were taken to extend the contract, but some sources claim otherwise.

According to Sky Sport Italia and Il Corriere dello Sport, the Georgian winger rejected the offer and urged the club to postpone the matter until after Euro 2024.

Recall that Georgia, with Kvaratskhelia, sensationally advanced from their group to the playoffs of Euro 2024.

Il Corriere dello Sport reports that the winger was offered a contract with a salary of €5 million per year, including bonuses, until 2029. The player's salary would gradually increase, reaching €7 million per year.

Kvaratskhelia’s excellent performance at Napoli and his phenomenal results at the European Championship have attracted interest from various clubs. There have been reports that Paris Saint-Germain is monitoring him, and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has been accused of direct contact with the player without Napoli’s consent.

Currently, both Napoli's president and head coach Antonio Conte assert that Kvaratskhelia will not leave the club this summer, as he has a contract valid until June 2027.
