Official: The French national team will kick off 2026 with a match against Brazil in the USA
The French squad’s plans for the start of 2026 have been unveiled. Les Bleus are gearing up for a tour of the United States, where they’ll face two truly formidable opponents.
Details: The French Football Federation has announced that the national team will open the new year with two high-profile matches on American soil. Les Bleus are set to challenge South American powerhouses Brazil and Colombia.
The opening clash against Brazil is scheduled for March 26 in Boston, followed by a showdown with Colombia on March 29 in Washington. Ticket sales begin with a pre-sale on January 12 and open to the general public at 4:00 p.m. on January 13.
This tour is a crucial part of France’s build-up to the World Cup, which kicks off this June.
It’s worth noting that in the group stage of the 2026 World Cup, France will face Senegal, Norway, and the winner of FIFA Play-off 2 (Bolivia, Suriname, or Iraq).
Reminder: A French police officer was dismissed after receiving a large sum of money from Kylian Mbappé.
