The Real Sociedad midfielder has officially become a player for London’s Arsenal.
Details: Arsenal’s official X account posted a welcome message for 26-year-old Martin Zubimendi, who joins the London club after a long-running transfer saga.
At this time, the details of the deal remain undisclosed, but the media had repeatedly mentioned a fee of €60 million during negotiations between the parties.
This move could have happened six months ago, but Arsenal’s management decided not to take risks and waited in order to improve their position regarding financial fair play.
Zubimendi is a Real Sociedad academy graduate, and this transfer marks the first move of his professional career. Last season, he made 48 appearances for the Basque club, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
