Official: Kylian Mbappé returns to the French national team

In the fall of 2024, Didier Deschamps stopped calling up Kylian Mbappé for France’s squad, but the star forward is now set to return for the upcoming matches.

Details: As confirmed by the Les Bleus head coach, the Real Madrid striker will be back in the squad for the March international fixtures. In March 2025, France will compete in the UEFA Nations League playoffs, where they will face Croatia in the knockout stage.

Reports have surfaced of a conflict between Mbappe and Deschamps, with tensions reportedly straining their relationship. This growing misunderstanding has led to suggestions that the forward no longer wishes to play for the national team.

Reminder: The playoff matches will take place from May 20 to 25, 2025, alongside the League A quarterfinals.

The final stage of League A will be held in June 2025, with the semifinals, third-place match, and final scheduled from June 4 to 8.

The current UEFA Nations League champion is Spain. Previous winners include Portugal (2019) and France (2021).
